About the role

We are looking for a Junior Backend Developer to join our team, contribute to real projects and develop their skills alongside experienced developers.
What you will be doing
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs
- Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code
- Build and integrate REST APIs
- Work with relational databases and data models
- Debug and resolve backend issues
- Implement new backend features and functionality
- Write unit and integration tests
- Review and improve existing code
- Work with frontend developers to integrate APIs
- Integrate third-party APIs and services
- Monitor application performance and reliability
- Participate in code reviews
- Document APIs and backend functionality
- Follow established coding and development standards
- Collaborate with the wider development team
What we are looking for
- Basic commercial or practical experience with backend development
- Good understanding of programming fundamentals
- Experience with at least one backend programming language
- Understanding of REST APIs and HTTP
- Basic SQL and database knowledge
- Familiarity with Git and version control
- Understanding of JSON and API data structures
- Ability to debug and troubleshoot software
- Understanding of object-oriented or structured programming
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to write clean and readable code
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Attention to detail
