After winning this massive contract over other giant website development companies, we had our work cut out for us in delivering on the complex and vast requirements.

The project objective was to create a content management system that would allow court audio recordings to be quickly translated by the company staff into text documents. Due to the legal requirements for court-related papers to be 100% accurate, the pressure was on to ensure the system labelled the correct audio recording of the documents sent back.

After reviewing the requirements, we got to work creating an administration panel to manage website users and setting up a file upload system for audio and translated documents. Next, we develop a staff system that enables jobs to be assigned to staff and ensures that multiple staff members are not assigned the same task. The website required a checking algorithm to track the time spent on the task and the number of words translated during that time. The result is that the company can now reward staff for consistent and correct translations.

We chose to use the CodeIgniter framework as it was the fastest PHP-based framework at the time. This framework, paired with HTML, CSS, and jQuery, made the system fast, secure, and reasonably developed. It also allowed the users of the website to see and use the features in models on the page rather than having to reload the page for each feature or change of page.

In conclusion, the project was a massive success. It did not require updates for 5 years, as it was so stable from the first build and due to the robust testing we completed on the website. A massive win for the Dream Designs Agency and the hard work we put in.
